ABOUT THE TUSKEGEE AIRMEN SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION (TASF)
TASF was founded in 1978 by the Tuskegee Airmen, the first black pilots to serve in the US Army Air Corps during WW II. The organization was created to preserve the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen by providing scholarships to assist financially disadvantaged and deserving students in the pursuit of their college education. The scholarship fund, now named the Tuskegee Airmen Scholarship Foundation (TASF) has granted over 1,300 scholarships totaling nearly $2 million to help needy students pay for college. Each year the Foundation with the support of dedicated donors, government employees, corporations, and educational advocates, presents $1,500 scholarship awards to 40 or more students who instill the ideals, leadership and commitment as exemplified by the Tuskegee Airmen. Scholarships are awarded without regard to race.

POSITION SUMMARY
1. IDENTIFY MAJOR GIFT PROSPECTS
Find donor prospects; a process that involves analyzing factors that predict a donor’s ability and enthusiasm to give.
2. CULTIVATE MAJOR GIFT DONATIONS
Cultivation is critical when it comes to major gifts because it’s our organization’s opportunity to build valuable relationships with major gift prospects. 
3. DEVELOP A MAJOR GIFT SOLICITATION STRATEGY
Develop a powerful donor solicitation strategy, and partner with the executive director and board for ultimate results.
4. GROW MAJOR GIFT DONOR STEWARDSHIP
Build that relationship by stewarding donors. .

JOB TYPE – INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR
