I have had three completely different internships, which has shown me the different sides and different areas of Pratt & Whitney. I have learned something different from each.
Summer 2007 in Marietta, GA I worked on the PW100 engine which powers the F‐22. I was basically an engine mechanic and tester to see they were operating properly.
Summer 2008 in East Hartford, CT I worked with Power Systems and basically helped with the configuration of electrical components at the sites.
Summer 2009 in Huntsville, AL would have to be my favorite. I worked on robots that performed various tasks based on programming. During this internship I experienced on‐site training when Pratt & Whitney flew me and my supervisor to Indiana to fix a robotics problem.
I have enjoyed meeting the many people who work at Pratt & Whitney and being thrown into a job like a full‐time employee.
Overall, I have enjoyed each of them and the areas that they were, thanks to the recommendations of my mentor.
