First SMSgt Levarn Adger Air Force JROTC Scholarship Presented

Tuskegee Airmen Inc Foundation scholarship named in honor of SMSgt Levarn Adger (Ret) was presented on Friday 30 April at the C A Johnson HS AFJROTC 39th Annual Awards Dining Out. SMSgt Adger is the Aerospace Science Instructor (ASI) at CAJ. The award was presented to Cadet CMSgt Jeffery King, Jr. Jeffery is a senior top performer academically and the highest ranking cadet in the cadet corps.  He plans to attend South Carolina State College in Orangeburg, SC.  The $500 award will be paid to his college account. This scholarship is unique to the CAJ AFJROTC unit because of the extensive service done by CAJ cadets to administer the TAI AFJROTC award program for the other 890 AFJROTC units and over 104,000 cadets around the world. The scholarship winner must have presented a report at a TAI National Convention. Jeffery presented in Philadelphia, PA in 2008.  Col Bill McCleary represented the Spann Watson chapter (local) of Tuskegee Airmen Inc (TAI) for the presentation.
